rereadingharry: I love how, here, JKR makes a parallel between Dumbledore’s infatuation and another infatuation — Bellatrix’s — that was also only implied — not overtly stated — in canon. In fact, Bellatrix’s infatuation is less evidenced, I think, because we don’t have the contrast we have with Dumbledore, where we see how moral he can be, and how immoral he was under Grindelwald’s influence.
